Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yanmar HD") has invested in Oceanos Co., Ltd., following the spinoff of its personal watercraft project "Wheeebo" which was planned and developed by Yanmar HD.

"Wheeebo" is a personal watercraft developed by Yanmar for marine activities, created as part of an initiative to generate exciting new experiences in the marine leisure sector. In 2021, to achieve more agile and flexible decision-making and to develop the business from diverse perspectives, it participated in the 'Spirete Entrepreneurship Program' by Spirete Co., Ltd., aiming for independence as a startup.

This time, with the cooperation of Spirete Co., the spinoff of the Wheeebo business to the startup company Oceanos Inc. has been realized. Yanmar HD has invested in Oceanos to support the business advancement of "Wheeebo."

Marketing and operational testing activities will continue towards a target for service deployment of next year’s marine high season.

Under the value of "HANASAKA," which encourages challenges, Yanmar HD will continue to support startups that strive to launch new businesses.
