Yamanashi Central Bank (President: Yoshiaki Furuya) and the Japan Finance Corporation Shinjuku Branch National Life Finance Business (hereinafter referred to as Japan Finance Corporation) have implemented a coordinated loan totaling 25 million yen to Oceanos Inc. (CEO: Ryo Maeda), which operates the aquatic personal craft "Wheeebo" business.

Oceanos is a startup company that spun off to aim for further business development of this new business initiated by Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yanmar HD), through the entrepreneurship program provided by Spirete Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Spirete).

To create new exciting experiences in the marine leisure sector, Yanmar HD has developed a personal watercraft for marine activities. By operating a small handheld remote control, users can freely move across the water as if walking on seas, lakes, and pools. The craft can accommodate up to two people, allowing families, from small children to active seniors, to enjoy it together.

Overview of Oceanos inc. and the Coordinated Financing

Mr. Ryo Maeda, the representative, was an engineer at SoftBank, where he handled operations such as cloud service businesses. He also gained experience by joining Cocoa Motors as a founding member after they launched the "portable electric bicycle," which became a hot topic. In addition, Mr. Okamoto, the head of development, has extensive development achievements in the electric mobility sector at major automakers and startups. Oceanos was established by leveraging Yanmar's technology and the management team's capability to expand in the activity sector and development power centered around Mr. Maeda and Mr. Okamoto, facilitated by Spirete. Yanmar has invested in Oceanos and is currently supporting the business as a shareholder.

To support a more rapid business expansion in response to external factors such as the increasing inbound demand at resorts, our bank and the Japan Finance Corporation have implemented coordinated financing.
