Oceanos Inc., developer of the personal watercraft "Wheeebo" that provides new experiences in marine leisure, announces that two resort facilities on Ishigaki Island - "Ishigakijima Beach Hotel Sunshine" and "Grandvrio Resort Ishigakijima" - have adopted "Wheeebo" as a new activity and have started rental services from June 30.

The "Wheeebo" rental service at "Ishigakijima Beach Hotel Sunshine" and "Grandvrio Resort Ishigakijima" is operated by activity operator "Pushinushima."

"Pushinushima" has also been operating the rental service at "Haimurubushi," the resort facility on Kohama Island that became the first in the world to introduce "Wheeebo" in April this year.

"Wheeebo" is an electric personal watercraft designed to open new possibilities in marine leisure. With intuitive operation using a small handheld remote control, users can freely move across water surfaces such as seas, lakes, and pools as if walking on water. No license is required, and it accommodates up to two riders, making it enjoyable for people of all ages, from small children to active seniors.

"Wheeebo" is a new product that was commercialized through a spin-off from Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. last year. Rental services began in Okinawa ahead of the rest of the world in April this year, and with the adoption at these two new facilities, it is now available at a total of seven resort facilities in Okinawa. At Oceanos, we aim to expand "Wheeebo" from Okinawa to resort facilities around the world as a new marine activity originating from Japan.

"Wheeebo" Overview

Wheeebo is a circular board with a diameter of 150cm, equipped with a proprietary drive unit featuring an electric thruster that allows 360-degree movement across water at speeds below 6km/h. Due to its low speed and compact size, no license is required, and with handheld remote control operation, anyone aged 6 and above can easily operate it. This innovative craft provides a new form of activity for leisurely water strolls while enjoying nature.
